Our Social Enterprises - EcoStore, EcoCatering & EcoPark remove the barriers to employment for people with disability to learn new skills and gain hands-on work experience.
Your key responsibilities are –
- Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability.
- Provide person-centered active support to participants in one-to-one employment and group-based activities.
- Facilitate individual and group activities, using a variety of enabling styles.
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of individual goal plans or follow planned programs as directed.
- Complete required documentation and progress notes as required.
- Promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for participants.
- Provide any required self-care, social and emotional support to participants.
- Use positive behavior support strategies.
- Maintain appropriate and effective communication with all stakeholders, including Team Leaders, peers and management.
- Create and seek opportunities that enables an individual to reach their own potential as a valued member of their community.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- High level of emotional intelligence and engagement skills
- Ability to create and lead engaging programs that spark joy, build skills, and connect people — no disability experience required, just passion and initiative.
- Dedication to person centered support principles & individualised support practices.
- Ability to apply understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate written records and documentation and experience in the use of technology.
- Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally.
- Passion for improving the life of people with a disability.
