The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking a Principle Platform Engineer to join their team. This role is critical in supporting AEMO's mission to ensure a reliable and affordable energy supply while facilitating the transition towards a sustainable energy future for Australia.

What you'll do

- Design and implement scalable platform solutions to enhance AEMO's digital infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve system performance.

Requirements

- A minimum of 8 years of experience in platform engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Strong background in infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.




- Excellent understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus or ELK Stack.
