We are seeking a skilled and experienced Type A Gas Servicing Fitter to join our team at DCW Electrical in Cranbourne North, VIC. This is a sub-contract position, offering the opportunity to work on a range of residential properties. As a Type A Gas Servicing Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of gas appliances and installations for our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
Conduct safety checks on all gas appliances and ensure all checks are completed in line with Victorian gas safety regulations.
Test for carbon monoxide leaks & negative pressure setting testing to ensure appliances are functioning safely.
Provide detailed findings in the compliance reports upon completion of the safety check.
Liaising with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Inspect installations of appliances and refer to our Further Works team if rectification works are needed.
Ability to conduct rectification works identified during the inspections.
Adhering to the schedule confirmed by our booking team.
What we're looking for
Registered and Licensed plumber/gas-fitter with VBA including Type A Gas Servicing. (Mandatory).
Proven experience in conducting gas safety checks and appliance inspections.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and rectify issues
Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities
A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Ability to work autonomously and as a team player.
Tech savy and able to operate reporting software and apps.
