About this Role
Adaptable rosters
You will provide compassionate home-based care by building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home and stay connected to their community.
Individual care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.
Duties
- Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
- Provide general home support and light housekeeping duties, assistance with meal preparations, and companionship.
- Provide incidental transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Possess exceptional communication skills, can-do attitude,
empathy for and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
- Have patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
- Be personable, compassionate, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.
- Be reliable, responsive, efficient, confident and proactive.
- Value and enjoy the company of older people.
Preferred Requirements
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable car, and comprehensive car insurance.
- NDIS Worker Screening Test
- Level 2 First Aid
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have a Right to Work in Australia.
Confirmation of Influenza Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required upon application.
