Manningham Gourmet Butcher is a premium retail butcher located in Doncaster East, specialising in high-quality Australian meats, handcrafted sausages, gourmet ready-to-cook products and exceptional customer service. We take pride in traditional butchery, premium presentation and providing a friendly shopping experience for our local community.
We are currently looking for a hard-working and reliable Casual Butcher or Apprentice Butcher to join our growing team.
About the Role
This is a casual position, commencing at approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours for the right candidate as the business grows.
You will work alongside an experienced team and be involved in:
- Preparing and displaying premium meat products
- Portioning, trimming and value-adding meat products
- Assisting with sausage and gourmet product production
- Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
- Providing friendly customer service
- General cleaning and maintaining a tidy workplace
- Working collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent service
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
- A strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced setting
- A positive team player with a friendly attitude
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or unrestricted work rights)
- Currently residing in Australia and available to attend in-person interviews
- Ability to work approximately 20 casual hours per week initially
- Previous experience in a premium or quality retail butcher environment will be highly regarded
- We welcome applications from Year 3 Butchery Apprentices looking to further develop their skills
