Mechanical Resident Technician – Automated Systems

Shape the future of automated logistics

We are looking for a Mechanical Resident Technician to be located at one of our customer's advanced warehouse sites. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining cutting-edge automated systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency every step of the way.

Working closely with our CSS Residential Site Manager, you’ll be the go-to technical expert for mechanical support and preventative maintenance, helping shape a high-performance site culture and support continuous improvement.

This role requires candidates to work a rotating 12-hour shift roster, including day and night shifts, across a 7-day operation.

You’ll be the go-to expert on site, playing a critical role in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement—and be an essential part of a global network of automation professionals.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Working a rotational Day and Night Shift, including some weekends.
- Provide mechanical support during breakdowns, shutdowns, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Complete allocated tasks through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in line with planned schedules.
- Perform all work to OEM specifications and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with our global support teams, including the international Helpdesk and R&D;, to troubleshoot and resolve design or system issues.
- Log maintenance activities, fault diagnostics, and spare part usage in the CMMS and make recommendations for inventory adjustments.
- Support a positive, productive,



and safety-first culture within the customer’s operational team.
- Contribute to team meetings and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.

What You’ll Bring

- Mechanical Trade Certificate(essential).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in automation, warehousing, or mechatronics maintenance.
- Familiarity with pneumatics and mechatronic fault finding.
- Experience working with automated warehouse machinery.
- Competence in using Computerised Maintenance Softwareand updating job records accurately.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Robust organisation skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude, safety-first mindset, and a genuine passion for solving problems.
- Strong customer focusand interpersonal communication skills.
