We are seeking an experienced Die Cutter Operator to join our production team at our Mount Waverley facility. If you are a motivated operator with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Reporting to the Bindery Manager, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining our die cutting equipment to produce high-quality packaging and printed products.
You will play an important role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate die cutting equipment in accordance with production schedules and job specifications.
- Ensure accurate cutting, creasing and finishing of printed and packaging materials.
- Monitor product quality throughout production and carry out routine quality checks.
- Identify and resolve machine or production issues to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and daily safety inspections of equipment.
- Accurately complete production documentation and job records.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production deadlines and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Comply with all company policies, quality procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
- Previous experience operating die cutting machinery within the printing or packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to interpret production job tickets and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A solid commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience operating A SBL or similar die cutting equipment will be highly regarded.
