CG Spectrum

Melbourne

CG Spectrum is looking for an experienced Course/Career Advisor to join our Australian Sales team and help future creatives take the next step in their careers.

This is a sales role, but we're looking for much more than a salesperson.

Our Course/Career Advisors are often one of the first real connections someone has with CG Spectrum. You'll speak with prospective students who are considering careers in animation, VFX, game development, digital art and other creative industries, helping them understand their options and decide whether CG Spectrum is the right fit for them.

That requires someone who can sell, but more importantly, someone who is exceptional with people. You need to be able to listen, build trust quickly, understand what motivates someone and genuinely care about helping them make a good decision about their future.

What you'll do

Speak with prospective students and understand their career goals, interests and motivations.

Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire prospective student journey.

Work with the mentors to recommend the most appropriate CG Spectrum course based on each student's end goals and circumstances.

Manage prospective students from initial enquiry through to handover to admissions.

Build genuine relationships through consultative conversations and consistent, thoughtful follow-up.

Manage a busy pipeline of enquiries, calls, emails, applications and follow-ups without letting things fall through the cracks.

Work towards individual and team enrolment targets while always keeping the prospective student experience front of mind.

Participate in Open Days, information sessions, expos and other student recruitment activities.

Develop a passion for our courses, mentors, student outcomes and the creative industries we serve.

Maintain accurate and timely records in HubSpot.

Work closely with Marketing, Admissions, Student Engagement and Academic teams to create a seamless experience from enquiry through to commencement.

Participate in regular sales meetings, coaching and professional development.

Who we’re looking for

You have to genuinely like people. We're looking for someone who gets energy from conversations, asks great questions and knows how to make people feel comfortable.

You’ll also bring:

Exceptional people and relationship-building skills - we need you to show your care.

Previous experience within education, ideally student recruitment, admissions, course advising or a related environment.

Demonstrated sales experience and confidence working towards targets and conversion goals. Ideally in high value sales areas.

A strong customer service mindset and genuine care for the experience you create.

Excellent verbal, written and SMS communication skills.

Confidence speaking with prospective students across text, Google Meet, email and in person.

The ability to listen more than you speak.

Strong organisation and the ability to multitask across a high volume of leads and competing priorities.

Confidence using CRM systems (preferable Hubspot) and maintaining an organised sales pipeline.

Resilience, self-motivation and the ability to keep momentum through a longer sales cycle.

A collaborative approach and willingness to work across multiple teams.

A genuine interest in creative education and the industries our students aspire to work in.

The person we’re hoping to find

You might currently work in a university, RTO, private education provider or another student recruitment setting and be looking for something a little different. You'll understand that choosing where and what to study can be a huge decision.

Or else you might be working in a call centre environment helping promote B2C high ticket sales from inbound enquiries for a service-based product.

Or else you have worked one on one with people in a career coaching space - helping them make decisions about their future - including talking about career goals, education options etc.

You’ll know when to follow up, when to listen, when to challenge someone's thinking and when to give them space.

You’ll be commercially driven and enjoy achieving a target, but you'll also understand that the best enrolment is the right enrolment.

CG Spectrum trains creatives for careers in animation, VFX, game development, digital art and emerging creative industries. Our students learn from industry professionals and develop practical, career-focused skills designed for the real world.

If you're an experienced education sales professional who is exceptional with people, highly organised and genuinely excited about helping creatives build their future, we'd love to hear from you.

CG Spectrum is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
