Job Purpose/Description
The Senior Data Analyst is responsibleformodelling and implementing performance metrics, frameworks and methods across Client.Keeping insights and actions at the core, thisrole will take a hands‑on approach to creating and implementing a reporting framework and delivering meaningfulinsightsacross the business.
The Senior Data Analyst is accountable to analyse and provide solutions to deliver insights that will enable Client to streamline and improve end to end delivery processes across the company.
This role will collaborate closely with our Process Analyst team to provide insights that help contribute to delivery of measurable improvements.
Responsibilities
- Advise, shape and design Data Analytics and Insights strategies that enable client to intersect disparate data sources to build a complete picture of the health and performance across teams and systems delivering value to Client customers.
- Lead analysis of data across systems (ADO,EPM, Wave, Excel, Service Now) using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Tableau.
- Design and implement data pipelines - Collect, cleanse, normalise and interpret data sources using best practice infographics and storytelling techniques to build Client ability to apply progressive analytics, shifting from reactive (descriptive and diagnostic) to proactive (predictive and prescriptive).
- Facilitate workshops to understand what measures would best allow teams to understand and improve performance and communicate trends and findings.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions that are available inthe market to aid in measuring performance, identifying appropriate benchmarks.
- Manage reporting distribution – identifying key audiences and ensuring that audience understands insights that can drive action.
- Use a data driven approach to identify opportunities that align withBusiness andTechnologystrategy to improveteamperformanceanddrive business efficiency
- Align value streamanalysisbetween teams/products to our tooling, ensuring workflows are optimized and bottlenecks arehighlighted to stakeholders for resolution
- Mentor, support and empower variousClientteamsand leaderswith adoptinga performance-based culture, bringing data to the forefront of everything we do
- Champion the use of metrics as a way of objectively assessing how teams and domains are performing with a focus on continuous improvement
Qualifications, Training and Experience
- Substantial experience in a senior role in Data Analytics, preferably within a Technology setting
- Strong strategic application of data and insights, and the ability to translate complex data analytics into understandable insights and actions for the business.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, R and/or similar programming languages.
- A deep understanding of advanced analytics techniques and applied knowledge of 'when' and 'how' to apply these techniques (e.g predictive analytics, statistical modelling, data mining).
- Experience with BI and visualisation tools (eg, Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview).
- Effective instorytelling, presenting findings and articulating insights
- Experience mentoring, sharing knowledge and inspiring colleagues
- Previous experiencetranslating technical information into executive level reporting
- Previous experience in workshop facilitation.
- Solid understanding of agile principles, including digital/agile workflows
- Advanced knowledge and experience using excel
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, and resolve complex situations quickly and independently
