About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager – Pastoral Care Services to join our Mission and Pastoral Care team. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager – Mission, this leadership role oversees a small team of Pastoral Care Practitioners and is responsible for embedding Catholic Homes’ pastoral care strategy across the organisation. You will bring the strategy to life through training, coaching, resource development, and building team capability to deliver consistent, high‑quality pastoral care.

Working closely with operational leaders, clergy, faith communities and external stakeholders, you will champion spiritual and emotional wellbeing for residents, clients and families. While leading and supporting the pastoral care team, you will also maintain a hands‑on connection with those in our care, providing pastoral support and ensuring services reflect best practice, compassion and Catholic Homes' mission and values.

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant qualifications,



experience or a combination of both in pastoral care, spiritual care, theology, healthcare, aged care, counselling, community services or a related field.
- The ability to balance the pastoral, operational and governance requirements of a contemporary care environment.
- An understanding of Catholic liturgy, sacramental life and contemporary pastoral care practices.
- Experience leading, coaching or developing individuals and teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a range of internal and external groups.
- Experience implementing, developing or enhancing services, programs or initiatives.
- Well‑developed administrative and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in aged care or a related health, community or faith‑based setting (desirable).
