Litigation Lawyer - Contract A leading international firm is looking to bring on a litigation lawyer to work alongside its Sydney disputes team on a number of significant, large-scale commercial matters.
The work
These are the kinds of mandates that justify a dedicated resource: high value, multi-party, and running across an extended timeline. You would be working directly with senior lawyers and partners on evidence and witness preparation, discovery and document strategy, legal research and advice, drafting, and liaison with counsel.
About you
- 2+ years PQE in commercial litigation or disputes
- Admitted to practise in Current South Wales, or eligible for admission
- Trained at a mid-tier, top-tier or international firm
- Comfortable working at pace on complex matters with limited hand-holding
Why this one is worth a look The rate is excellent and reflects the calibre of work rather than typical contract benchmarks. The engagement is initially fixed, but the matters are long-running and the firm has a track record of extending and converting people who perform. Several contract lawyers have gone on to permanent roles on the back of engagements like this. For a disputes lawyer, the real draw is the work itself. Access to mandates of this scale usually requires a permanent move and a competitive recruitment process.
