About the Role
As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and rebuilding centrifugal pumps and associated rotating equipment in our Gladstone workshop, with occasional field service work at customer sites.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild pumps and rotating equipment
- Diagnose faults and recommend repair solutions
- Complete pump, gearbox and motor assemblies
- Perform precision alignments using dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
- Conduct hydrostatic testing
- Read engineering drawings and follow technical procedures
- Manufacture or modify components where required
- Carry out final testing,
cleaning and painting of completed equipment
- Complete inspection reports and job documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for field service work
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys quality workmanship and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
- Experience with pumps, rotating equipment or industrial machinery (preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and mechanical assembly skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
