About the opportunity
Kangaroo Island Council is seeking to appoint four highly motivated and suitably skilled individuals to join our dedicated Kingscote Works & Infrastructure team.

Depending upon qualifications, skills and experience, remuneration will be negotiable between Grade 3 and 4 of the Kangaroo Island Council Enterprise Agreement 2024-26, with the inclusion of a 9-day fortnight.
Position Overview
This position works as part of a team, which contributes to delivering Council’s programmed work maintenance tasks to ensure assets and civil infrastructure are maintained to a high standard that reflects a welcoming, safe and active community.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for skilled individuals who are passionate about civil construction and committed to delivering quality outcomes. Candidates will meet the following criteria for the position:
- SACE completion or equivalent (essential)
- White Card (essential)
- Maintenance of a current driver's license and HR/HC vehicle licence (essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction (essential)
- Work Zone Traffic Management (desirable)
- Trade certificate (desirable)
- Qualifications and tickets in the following equipment, grader, tractor with attachments, bob cat (loader), skid steer and high risk forklift (desirable)
To meet the demands of the role, you will need to be physically fit, possess solid communication skills, have a proactive approach to problem-solving,
and a commitment to safety.
It is a requirement that you must be available to be on a rotational 'on-call' weekend roster.
