We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment where safety, reliability, and continuous improvement are valued.
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring plant equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimising production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Carry out breakdown repairs in a timely and secure manner.
- Install, modify, and commission plant and equipment as required.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
You will have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
- Experience in a manufacturing,
food processing, packaging, or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently during night shift operations.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
