We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Histology Scientist to join our busy Anatomical Pathology team in our Geelong laboratory.

Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team. You will perform high-quality histological procedures to support accurate clinical diagnoses. Duties include tissue processing, microtomy, staining and the maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment to ensure compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent qualification.

Minimum 1-2 years of practical laboratory experience in clinical or anatomical pathology

High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.

Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to the delivery of customer-focused services.

Own reliable transport and willingness to participate in weekend, evening and public holiday rosters.
