What you'll do
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of project goals and objectives.
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop detailed business cases, including cost-benefit analyses, to support project proposals and secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, user stories, and functional specifications, to facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Utilize data analysis tools to extract insights from large datasets, translating complex data into understandable reports that guide decision-making.
- Lead workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment on project deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics,
providing regular updates to management and stakeholders on key milestones and potential risks.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring that solutions meet business needs while adhering to technical constraints.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet specified requirements and provide training to end-users as necessary.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and project management, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
- Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies for business analysis within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role, preferably within a technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of business process modeling and improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in SQL, Excel, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience working closely with development teams.
