Care Hero Pty Ltd is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Northern suburbs, Melbourne, VIC. This is a casual role, providing essential support and care to individuals with diverse needs. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital part in enriching the lives of those in your care and making a meaningful difference in your community.

What you'll be doing

- Providing personalised support and assistance with daily living activities including personal care
- Engaging clients in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote independence and wellbeing
- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their safety and comfort
- Collaborating with families, healthcare professionals, and the broader support network to deliver coordinated care
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support client care plans
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

- Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role, working with individuals with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities
- Minimum 6 months experience in disability support work is required




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on client-centered care
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse client needs
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Full Australian driver's license is required
- Must hold a current NDIS Worker Check
