About the Program

The University of Queensland (UQ) offers the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduate Program, a full‑time fixed‑term graduate program up to two years. The program builds on a bachelor’s degree and provides tailored practical skill development, structured training, mentoring, and leadership pathways specifically for recent graduates.

Eligibility

This position is an equal opportunity measure and is open only to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $83,776 (HEW 5). Additional benefits include up to 17% superannuation, paid parental and caregiver leave, annual leave loading, flexible working arrangements, health and wellness discounts, and cultural leave.

- 26 weeks paid parental leave or 14 weeks paid primary caregiver leave
- 17% superannuation contributions and 17.5% annual leave loading
- Flexible working arrangements including hybrid options and flexible start/finish times
- Health and wellness discounts: fitness passport, free yearly flu vaccinations, discounted health insurance, and Employee Assistance Program access
- Extra benefits: cheap parking, on‑campus childcare, salary packaging options,
