Manager - Secondary Systems/networks

Canberra based or open to travelling to the office 2-3 days a week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Secondary Systems & Network Design to lead a team of engineers and technical specialists responsible for the design, development and delivery of secondary systems across transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects.

This is a leadership role for a Registered Electrical Engineer with solid technical expertise in secondary systems and a proven ability to manage large engineering teams and complex design programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Secondary Systems and Network Design function.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
- Oversee the design, review and delivery of secondary systems projects.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support network planning, asset management and major project delivery teams.
- Drive continuous improvement, safety, quality and operational performance.

Requirements





- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems or Communications preferred).
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- 10+ years' experience within transmission, distribution, renewable energy, utilities or a similar infrastructure industry.
- Strong design engineering background in secondary systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large office-based engineering teams.
- Sound understanding of NER, NEM and AEMO requirements.

Desired Technical Experience Strong experience in one or more of the following:

- SCADA and Control Systems
- Communications Systems
- Protection Systems
