Registered Nurse (Div 1) – General Practice

Banksia Medical Centre Hamlyn Heights is seeking a compassionate and experienced Division 1 Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive general practice team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about primary healthcare and enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Available Days:

Monday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Friday: 8:45am – 5:00pm

*Additional shifts available to cover annual leave

Banksia Medical Centre Hamlyn Heights is a well-equipped general practice with a team of 8 GPs and Allied Health services. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and pride ourselves on strong teamwork and a positive workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Following up patient results and recalls

Conducting health assessments and care plans

Coordinating and managing the treatment room, including stock control of equipment and vaccines

Performing ECGs

Administering immunisations (adults and children)





Iron infusions (excluding cannulation)

Assisting GPs with minor procedures

Maintaining cold chain management systems

Ensuring accurate patient records and compliance with Best Practice and accreditation standards

Potential involvement in home visit health assessments

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Div 1)

Current CPR certificate

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude

Minimum 12 months experience in general practice (preferred but not essential)

Experience using Best Practice software
