We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Safety and HR Coordinator to join our team.
This role offers the prospect to build your career across both Workplace Health & Safety and Human Resources while partnering closely with the GM and operational leaders in a construction / manufacturing environment.
Working alongside the Management and Operations team, you will help drive a positive safety culture, ensure legislative and company compliance, and support continuous safety improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support incident/hazard response, investigations, briefings and the follow-up of corrective actions.
- Monitor and report Safety KPIs, and parter with the team to ensure targets are being achieved.
- Assist in conducting safety activities, such as safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
- Maintain and assist with the development of safety documentation, including SOPs, JSAs and risk assessments.
- Support the ongoing management and improvement of the Job Management System, Occupational Health & Safety Management System and HR system.
- Assist with safety communications, training initiatives and promoting a strong safety culture across the business.
- Provide practical Safety and HR advice to management and support to Operations team.
- Support general HR administration and compliance activities as required.

You have a proactive mindset, enjoy solving problems, and are comfortable spending time on customer sites our manufacturing and warehouse environments to partner with leaders and support the team.
You’ll ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- 2-3+ years' experience in a Generalist Safety and/or HR role, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or a construction role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A customer-focused, professional and positive approach.
- High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Safety Champion is an advantage.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Initiative, self-motivation and the confidence to work autonomously while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
