The Arcadia Hotel in South Yarra is a dynamic business operating 7 days a week. We offer a bistro, rooftop bar, three dedicated function rooms, live music 2 nights a week, and DJ on weekends. We are looking to build on our already solid base of food/beverage & entertainment and push ourselves to the forefront of the hotel industry.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to work alongside our senior venue managers. This individual needs to be looking for a challenge. This role has the added duties of being an integral part of the Functions Team.

Duties

- Running shifts (including functions) and cash up
- Opening and closing venue, late nights and weekends
- Creative input and assisting with marketing materials, posters, menus, etc.
- Ensuring the bar is kept clean and tidy and prep is completed on a weekly basis
- Working to ensure excellent guest experience and good staff morale

Skills and experience

We are looking for a Management level hands-on leader with a minimum of 3 years hospitality/restaurant experience to motivate, discipline and drive our large team. Ideally, someone with a business mind who understands that as a business, we need to expand and remain profitable to ensure the business continues to thrive.

The ideal candidate will, above all, have a passion for customer service, food and entertainment. They will be organized, confident and demonstrate excellent communication skills. They will have an easy, approachable manner and should be experienced in all aspects of venue operations.Above all, they will be a visionary leader who will inspire our team of young bar staff.
