Rowlee Wines

Nashdale

Help shape one of New South Wales most exciting wine estates.

At Rowlee, we believe exceptional landscapes are every bit as memorable as exceptional wine.

From flowering gardens and mature trees to vineyard vistas and beautifully maintained grounds, every outdoor space contributes to the experience our guests take home. Whether they're joining us for a long lunch, celebrating their wedding day or staying on the estate, first impressions matter.

We're looking for an experienced Estate Gardener to take ownership of the presentation and ongoing enhancement of our 100-acre estate.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes genuine pride in their work and wants to make a lasting contribution to one of Orange's leading wine tourism destinations.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the presentation, maintenance and continual improvement of the estate's gardens and grounds.

As Rowlee's Estate Gardener, you'll enjoy a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You'll plan your own work, manage competing priorities and take ownership of ensuring the estate is presented to an exceptional standard throughout the seasons.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining ornamental gardens, lawns, hedges, trees and landscaped areas across the estate
- Ensuring guest arrival areas, pathways and outdoor spaces are beautifully presented at all times
- Planning and undertaking seasonal planting and landscape improvement projects
- Pruning, mulching, fertilising and weed management
- Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems
- Operating, maintaining and caring for garden machinery and equipment
- Preparing the estate for weddings, events and seasonal guest experiences
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve the presentation of the property
- Supporting sustainable gardening and environmental initiatives

- Working collaboratively with the wider Rowlee team while confidently managing your own workload and priorities

About You

You're someone who notices the details others overlook.

You enjoy working outdoors, take pride in creating beautiful spaces and thrive in a role where you're trusted to manage your own work.

You'll bring:

- Experience in horticulture, gardening, landscaping or estate maintenance
- The ability to work independently and confidently manage your own workload
- Solid self-leadership, initiative and personal accountability
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- An exceptional eye for detail and presentation
- Pride in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors throughout the year
- A current Australian Driver Licence (manual licence preferred)
- A qualification in horticulture or a related field (desirable but not essential)

Why Join Rowlee?

This is more than a gardening role.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the landscape that thousands of visitors experience every year, helping create memorable moments for guests celebrating weddings, milestone occasions and weekends away in one of Australia's premier cool climate wine regions.

We offer:

- A highly autonomous role where your ideas, initiative and expertise are valued
- The opportunity to make a lasting contribution to one of Australia's leading wine tourism destinations
- A supportive and collaborative team culture
- Staff discounts across Rowlee wines, dining and guest experiences
- Ongoing investment in the estate, with opportunities to contribute to future landscape projects
- A beautiful workplace in the heart of the Orange Wine Region

If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, work independently and create an environment that people remember long after they leave, we'd love to hear from you.
