CSIRO is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and driven Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to fill a range of full-time, part-time and casual roles across our organisation. Roles span a variety of fields including geologists, accountants, rangers, project officers, communication specialists, cultural capability advisors, research scientists, plumbers, electricians, and field workers. Opportunities exist across CSIRO sites nationwide.

Location, Salary and Tenure

- Location: Negotiable — any CSIRO site across Australia
- Salary: Varies by role (AU$24k to AU$128k plus up to 15.4% superannuation)
- Tenure: Specified terms up to 18 months or casual arrangements depending on role

Eligibility and Selection

CSIRO considers filling roles attached to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Careers register as a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975. The register is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian citizenship. Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Depending on the role, applicants may need to provide contact details of at least one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Referee. Appointment is subject to a national police check and other security/medical/character requirements.
