What you'll do
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all entries.
- Maintain and update financial records and ledgers, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and provide support as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, contributing to the financial planning process.
- Handle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accuracy in employee compensation.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping standards.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and improve processes.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in accounting practices.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
