Join the Platinum Staffing team as an Event Host!

We’re looking for confident, professional, and personable Event Hosts to represent our clients across a variety of premium events, including exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, corporate functions, hospitality events, and VIP lounges.

As the face of our clients’ events, you’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and engage guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Liaise with clients, event organisers, exhibitors, and attendees throughout the event.
- Provide accurate information, directions, and assistance to guests.
- Assist with guest registration, check-in, accreditation, and ticket scanning where required.
- Manage guest flow and maintain an organised front-of-house environment.
- Support VIP lounges by greeting guests, monitoring access, and ensuring a premium guest experience.
- Resolve guest enquiries professionally and escalates issues when necessary.
- Represent both Platinum Staffing and our clients with professionalism at all times.
- Work collaboratively with event teams to ensure seamless event operations.

About You

- Friendly, approachable, and confident when interacting with people from all backgrounds.
- Well-spoken with excellent verbal communication skills.




- Professionally presented with exceptional grooming standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask in busy event environments.
- Proactive, positive, and solution-focused.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in dynamic environments.

Experience & Requirements

- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, events, retail, reception, or promotional roles is highly regarded.
- Previous hosting or front-of-house experience is an advantage but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current RSA (required for some hospitality and VIP lounge events).
- Additional licences or certifications (such as Working With Children Check or First Aid) may be required for specific events.
