Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm

An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly organised and proactiveStaffing Resource Allocator to join one of the world's leading airline catering companies, supporting both Domestic and International airport operations based in Mascot.

This is a hands‑on, office‑based role withno hybrid work option, reflecting the operational nature of the business. You’ll split your time between ourInternational Airport office (3 days per week)andDomestic Airport office (2 days per week), working closely with operational teams to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.

You’ll become part of a collaborative national workforce planning team of 13, with a close‑knit Sydney team of five.

About the Role

As the Staffing Resource Allocator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our catering operations are fully resourced to meet constantly changing airline schedules. This is a fast‑paced position where no two days are the same, requiring someone who thrives under pressure, takes ownership, and enjoys solving problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Allocate and roster catering staff in line with daily flight schedules.
- Manage workforce planning and staffing requirements across Domestic and International operations.
- Maintain accurate daily rosters and staffing schedules.
- Balance labour demand and workforce availability to meet operational requirements.
- Process shift changes, roster swaps, training allocations and overtime.
- Coordinate labour hire requirements and communicate staffing updates.
- Update workforce management systems to ensure accurate staffing information.
- Monitor staffing levels throughout the day and redeploy resources where required.
- Assist with payroll‑related roster queries and resolve attendance or scheduling issues.




- Communicate with employees daily regarding roster changes, availability and operational requirements.
- Present to new employees during induction, explaining the importance of workforce planning and how your team supports the dnata family.
- Build strong working relationships with operational leaders and employees across the business.
- Take ownership of the role, identify improvements and contribute to the ongoing success of the team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

- Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling or resource allocation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence presenting to groups and engaging with new employees.
- Robust customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid Microsoft Outlook, typing and general computer skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- The ability to think quickly, solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
- Resilience and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and be accountable.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when operational requirements demand.
