As a Test and Evaluation centre focused on safety innovation, you will work alongside experts in Crash & Safety Testing, Environmental & Life Cycle Testing, Mechanical & Dynamic Impact Testing, High Speed Imaging, High speed data acquisition and instrumentations and Biomechanical Testing.
The primary activities within this role will include;
- Component, vehicle & impact barrier test preparations, in accordance with test protocols and the test centre quality and operational procedures.
- Vehicle preparation incl. but not limited to vehicle strip down, replacement of airbags and other safety related systems and components, mark selected components for clear assessment during test,
re-assembly of the vehicle and other assigned tasks.
- Installation of data acquisition and other equipment.
- Dimensional analysis (DA) activities utilising CMM and handheld scanning devices. This will include working with software and overlaying results with CAD data to understand impact post test.
- Liaise directly with customers to support product testing and development.
- Support in the preparation of Anthropomorphic Test Dummies (ATD's) for impact testing.
- Perform automotive electrical duties where trainedqualified.
- Preventative maintenance tasks required within area which may include workshop duties where trained.
- Providing support to other areas incl. but not limited to test execution processes & equipment.

Criteria
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience in Automotive Mechanics, Electrical Auto Technician streams, or similar.
- Solid technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Effective communication skills - team and customers.
- Ability to managing parallel projects with maturity and professionalism.
