We are seeking a Senior Systems Development Engineer to join our Region Services team in Sydney. This position focuses on integrating AWS's global cloud capabilities with local security expertise to create secure and scalable environments tailored for sensitive workloads. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

What you’ll do
- Design and implement systems that ensure the security and scalability of AWS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet compliance and security requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems development or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS services.
- Experience with security protocols and compliance frameworks.
- Must be an Australian citizen and possess or be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance, along with the ability to pass an Organisational Suitability Assessment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience in working with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Skills & tools
- Expertise in system architecture and design principles.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
