Senior Executive - Mergers & Acquisitions

The Prospect

With end-to-end accountability for the mergers and acquisitions lifecycle, you will lead a team to identify, evaluate and deliver strategic growth opportunities that align with the business's long-term strategy.



Partnering with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders across the business, you will develop investment cases, lead due diligence, negotiate transactions and oversee successful integration to ensure acquisitions deliver sustainable business and community value.

This role requires a commercially astute executive who is comfortable operating independently, exercising sound judgement and translating strategy into action. You will be equally comfortable shaping strategic direction, engaging senior stakeholders and delivering complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end mergers and acquisitions lifecycle from opportunity identification through to post-acquisition integration.
- Lead and develop a team responsible for identifying and evaluating strategic acquisition, merger and partnership opportunities.
- Develop investment cases, commercial assessments and recommendations for Executive and Board consideration.
- Lead commercial, financial, operational, legal and cultural due diligence processes.
- Manage negotiations, transaction execution and stakeholder engagement throughout the acquisition process.
- Partner with executive leaders to ensure successful integration and the realisation of strategic and operational benefits.
- Establish governance,



reporting and decision-making frameworks that support effective M&A; activity.
- Identify opportunities that strengthen business capability, support sustainable growth and enhance service delivery.

About You

You are a passionate M&A; executive with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex transactions from strategy through to integration. Commercially astute and outcomes focused, you combine strategic thinking with practical execution. You thrive in environments that require initiative, sound judgement and personal accountability, taking ownership of opportunities and delivering results with minimal direction.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated experience leading the full mergers and acquisitions lifecycle.
- Strong commercial, financial and strategic analysis capability.
- Experience managing complex due diligence, negotiations and transaction execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities.
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on partnership and delivery.
- High levels of resilience, initiative and commercial judgement.
