Marketing Assistant – Hospitality, Content & Digital
Pink Pickle Marketing
Part-Time | 2 days per week | Sydney-based hybrid role
$30–$35 per hour super, depending on experience
Potential to grow The Opportunity
Pink Pickle Marketing is growing, and we’re looking for a creative and organised Marketing Assistant to join our boutique agency two days per week.
You’ll work across some of Sydney’s most premium restaurants and event venues, helping us create content, launch campaigns and keep our clients looking sharp across every digital touchpoint.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves hospitality, understands social media and wants experience across content creation, websites, email marketing, and influencer campaigns.
You’ll report directly to our Marketing Manager and work closely with our wider team of marketers, designers, photographers and content creators.
About Us
Pink Pickle Marketing is a boutique marketing agency dedicated to hospitality venues across New South Wales and Queensland.
From premium restaurants and major event venues to local pubs, cafés, bars and breweries, we help hospitality businesses get seen, heard and stay top of mind.
We don’t hide behind fluffy reports or take a set-and-forget approach. We work directly with our clients to create campaigns that build awareness, drive bookings, sell out events and generate genuine function enquiries.
The Role
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend two days buried in spreadsheets.
You’ll be involved in the day-to-day execution of campaigns and content across a varied portfolio of hospitality clients.
Your responsibilities will include
- Creating, editing and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Capturing behind-the-scenes content at venues, events and photoshoots
- Editing Reels and short-form video
- Creating minor design updates and social assets in Canva
- Researching social media trends, content ideas and trending audio
- Organising content libraries, downloading assets and managing client files
- Preparing and building email marketing campaigns
- Updating client websites & writing website content
- Assisting with influencer outreach and campaign coordination
- Providing general marketing and administrative support to the team
You don’t need to tick every box from day one. We’re more focused on finding the right person, and we’ll provide training across our platforms and processes.
About You
This role would suit someone early in their marketing career who is creative, switched on and ready to get involved.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in marketing, social media, content or a related role
- Understands Instagram, TikTok and short-form video
- Has a strong eye for what makes hospitality content look appealing
- Can confidently capture photos and videos using a smartphone
- Has experience with Canva and CapCut or similar editing platforms
- Is comfortable writing social media captions, emails and website content
- Is highly organised and pays attention to the small details
- Can manage different tasks and deadlines across multiple clients
- Is proactive and comfortable working independently
- Communicates professionally with clients, venues and team members
- Is genuinely interested in restaurants, events and the hospitality industry
Experience with WordPress, Squarespace, email marketing, SEO or influencer marketing would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.
What We Offer
- A flexible two-day-per-week position
- $30–$35 per hour super, depending on experience
- The chance to grow your career with an awesome, supportive team.
- A hybrid role with work-from-home flexibility
- Hands-on experience across some of Sydney’s leading hospitality venues
- Opportunities to attend content shoots, events and venue launches
- Training across social media, websites, EDMs and digital marketing
- A supportive, close-knit team where your ideas will be heard
- Genuine variety across content, campaigns, restaurants and events
