About the Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for stable, ongoing work in the Northern Territory?

We are currently seeking skilled and safety-focused Mechanical Fitters to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent work, FIFO from Cairns or Brisbane.

- Ongoing rostered work based in NT at a Water Treatment Plant

- 2:1 basis FIAM - FOAM

- Dayshift only

Duties

- Daily maintenance on water treatment plant at the mine and port facilities

- Checking for leaks and greasing

- Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools

- Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments





- Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together

- Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

- Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled

- Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required

Essential Criteria (what's required):

- Trade certification (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Fitting and Machining)

- Minimum 4 years' experience
- Must include Pipefitting and Pump / Valve refurbishment

- High Risk Licence

- Elevated Work Platform

- Dogman or Basic Rigging

- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

- Ability to work well in a team

- Strong commitment towards safety and quality

- Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude

- Company and customer focused based

- Supply a current driver's license

- Working at heights and confined space certificates

- Ability to pass a medical and D&A; screen
