The Role As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating mechanical trades, driving safe work practices, and ensuring shutdown activities are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced shutdown environments, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional safety, quality, and operational outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to work across Warrikal's diverse shutdown and maintenance portfolio throughout Western Australia, providing exposure to a variety of mining operations, clients and work scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work packs, client work orders, schedules and assigned scope to understand execution requirements.
- Confirm shutdown readiness by confirming crew allocations, competencies, tooling, equipment and material readiness.
- Verify permits, isolations, JHAs and HSEQ requirements are in place prior to commencing work.
- Supervise crews and Leading Hands in the field to deliver daily milestones and planned work scope
- Lead daily pre-starts and toolbox talks and shift briefings
- Provide daily updates on progress, risks and issues to Site Leadership
- Coordinate crew, tooling and equipment demobilisation activities.
- Provide execution feedback and contribute to lessons learned processes
About You You are a safety-focused and proactive leader with proven experience supervising mechanical teams in shutdown and maintenance environments. With a strong understanding of shutdown execution, work management processes, and supervisory best practices
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor (required)
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar background preferred
- Minimum two years' supervisory experience in mining, maintenance, or construction.
- Proven experience leading crews and delivering shutdown or maintenance work safely and efficiently.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
