The Role The Medical Director will provide senior clinical leadership across easykind's telehealth organization, ensuring high standards of clinical governance, quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical governance frameworks, chairing the Clinical Governance Committee, providing strategic clinical guidance, engaging with regulators and industry stakeholders, and supporting the organization's continued growth through evidence-based healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Governance & Quality

- Provide independent oversight of clinical governance, quality, and patient safety.
- Chair the Clinical Governance Committee (CGC).
- Review and approve clinical policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Monitor clinical quality metrics, governance frameworks, and incident trends.
- Ensure compliance with AHPRA and Australian healthcare regulations.

Clinical Risk & Patient Safety
- Review and advise on high-risk clinical escalations and reliable incidents.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate systemic clinical risks.
- Provide independent clinical judgment on complex governance matters.
- Support continuous improvement in prescribing quality and patient safety.

Strategic Clinical Leadership
- Provide senior clinical guidance to the Clinical Lead and executive leadership team.




- Contribute to workforce planning and clinical competency frameworks.
- Support development of innovative, evidence-based telehealth care models.
- Provide input into clinical research, service design, and healthcare innovation.

Business Development & Growth
- Provide clinical oversight for new healthcare services and growth initiatives.
- Ensure new clinical programs remain safe, compliant, and evidence-based.
- Support strategic partnerships requiring clinical leadership.
- Advise executive leadership on clinical positioning and market differentiation.

Regulatory & Industry Engagement
- Engage with healthcare regulators, professional bodies, and industry organizations.
- Participate in healthcare policy discussions and regulatory consultations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on their impact.
- Represent easykind at industry forums and professional events.

Qualifications

- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA (required).
- Significant experience in primary care and telehealth.
- Strong background in clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Deep understanding of Australian healthcare regulations.
- Experience with medicinal cannabis prescribing is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Medical Director or senior clinical leader preferred.
- Experience working with regulators, industry organizations, or healthcare policy environments is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance clinical governance with business growth and innovation.
