Our focus is to provide clients with an all-encompassing service to deliver concrete structures including formwork, steel fixing and concrete placement works. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team servicing a modern fleet of civil and construction equipment across Melbourne and surrounding regions. This role offers a mix of workshop and field service work, with opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of heavy plant machinery and vehicles

Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

Attend breakdowns across metro and regional VIC

Fault find hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues

Complete job cards and service reports accurately

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site requirements

Parts Procurement: Identify and order necessary parts and components for repairs or replacements

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repaired vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.

Documentation:



Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.

Requirements

Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic)

Proven experience working on heavy plant equipment

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in heavy plant equipment maintenance and repair

Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills

Knowledge of automotive systems and technology.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in field service environments

White Card (Construction Induction)

Current driver's licence (HR preferred)

Minimum MR (Medium Rigid) driver's licence required

Valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa
