Bialik College is a pluralist Jewish school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children’s Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. Students come from throughout Melbourne, with many travelling to school on public transport or Bialik buses.

The Position
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Kindergarten Teacher to deliver our high-quality program, inspired by Reggio Emilia.
As a Kinder teacher at Bialik, you will workclosely witha team of teachers and coaching staff, and attend weekly Professional Development sessions to help build and support your career development.
This is a full-time role, commencing Term 1, 2027 for a fixed term period, until December 2027.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Base teaching on best theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of each student's development, skills and interest.
- Identify and cater for individual learner needs, collaborating with other teachers and specialists staff in the College.
- Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students.
- Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children.
- Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum.
- Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content
- Stay informed regarding current trends, teaching practices and curriculum and resource developments by remaining in contact with relevant associations and other professional networks.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and teaching experience and VIT registration is essential.
- Open to new ideas and a willingness to implement and change
- Supportive of the College Ethos
- Communicate effectivelywith students, staff, parents and the broader school community.
