The Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students Liaison Officer (VDSS) is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, navigating systems and delivering exceptional service, all while playing a key part in supporting secondary school students on their educational journey.
Working closely with secondary schools, students, parents/carers, teaching teams and internal stakeholders to coordinate applications, enrolments, communications and student support activities helping students transition successfully into their vocational education journey.
Behind every successful VDSS enrolment is someone ensuring students, schools and families feel informed, supported and connected. As our VDSS Liaison Officer, you'll be this person.
In this role, you will:
- Be the key point of contact for schools throughout the VDSS application and enrolment process.
- Maintain accurate student records and manage application and enrolment activity within our student management systems.
- Support student attendance monitoring and communicate with schools when support or follow up is required.
- Coordinate and assist with information sessions, orientation activities, school engagement programs and recruitment events.
- Build strong relationships with school coordinators, teachers and internal teams to deliver an outstanding student experience.
- Prepare professional communications and reports while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires occasional early starts to ensure schools are notified of any changes affecting morning classes.
Travel between Gordon campuses and external locations is required from time to time.

- Strong problem solving capability, sound judgement and a practical approach to finding solutions.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute positively to a supportive team culture.
- Confidence learning and navigating new systems, coupled with a proactive approach to using technology to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
