Job Overview:We are expanding our Brisbane presence and have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Specialist to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on consulting role that blends deep technical expertise with customer-facing engagement and project delivery. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Security & Compliance, and Modern Workplace solutions for our customers, while also contributing to pre-sales activity and the continuous uplift of our managed services offering. As a senior member of the team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding client environments, mentoring junior staff, and driving continuous improvement with our customers and internally.In this role you will have exposure to, and capability to continue to develop your skills with, a broad range of best-in-class vendor hardware working closely with our team of exceptional Senior Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Engagement & AdvisoryAct as a trusted advisor to customers on Microsoft 365, security, compliance, and modern workplace strategy.Lead customer-facing workshops, presentations, and technology briefings to articulate solutions and drive adoption.Support pre-sales activity by scoping solutions, preparing proposals,



and presenting to prospective and existing customers.Conduct regular service reviews and strategic planning sessions with key accounts.

Project Delivery & LeadershipLead the delivery of Microsoft 365, security, and modern workplace projects end-to-end — from scoping through to handover.Manage and coordinate project resources, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and to a high standard.Design and implement solutions across Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Defender platform, Entra ID, and compliance frameworks.Perform migrations, tenant configurations, and security hardening engagements.

Microsoft Engagement & InnovationBuild and maintain a strong working relationship with Microsoft, staying across the latest technology trends, roadmaps, and product updates.Translate Microsoft innovations into practical, value-driven recommendations for our customers.Represent Canary at Microsoft events, partner briefings, and industry forums.

Managed Services UpliftEngage with the managed services operations team to identify opportunities to uplift and enhance our service offering.Contribute to the development of standardised service offerings, runbooks, and best-practice documentation.Provide escalation support to the service desk and operations team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve service quality, efficiency,



and customer outcomes.Mentor and guide junior consult ants and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

QualificationsEssential:5+ years of experience in a consulting or managed services setting.Deep, hands-on expertise across:Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, tenant administration and governance.Security & Compliance: Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Sentinel, compliance frameworks (Essential Eight, ISO 27001).Modern Workplace & Endpoint: Intune, Autopilot, device management, Windows deployment, Zero Trust principles.Proven experience delivering customer facing projects, and scoping solutions in a presales capacity.Strong presentation and communication skills - comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiences.Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (M365 Administrator), SC-300 (Identity & Access), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), or SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst).Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring, training, and guiding junior team members.A strong commitment to client satisfaction, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs with a commercial understanding.Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and projects simultaneously.

Desirable Experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, AVD, migrations) — AZ-104 or AZ-305 preferred.Familiarity with Dynamics 365 (Finance, Sales, or Customer Service modules).Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, or Microsoft Copilot deployments.Experience engaging with Microsoft as a partner (e.g., co-sell, partner programs, technical briefings).
