Are you an experienced Legal Assistant who takes pride in providing exceptional client service?
We are seeking a professional, highly organised and compassionate Full Time Legal Assistant to become an integral member of our growing Wills & Estates team at our newly renovated office in Park Orchards. We would consider four days a week for the ideal candidate.
This is more than an administrative role. You will be supporting clients through some of life's most significant moments, from planning for the future to assisting families following the loss of a loved one. Every day, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
The Role
Working alongside our Senior Estates Executive you will provide administrative and client support across a broad range of matters, including:
- Wills
- Powers of Attorney
- Appointment of Medical Treatment Decision Makers
- Probate and Letters of Administration
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney and estate planning documents
- Preparing Probate and Letters of Administration applications
- Delivering exceptional client service from the first point of contact through to completion of each matter
- Liaising with clients, courts, financial institutions and other professionals
- Scheduling appointments and managing lawyers diaries
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- File management, billing and general administration
- Providing outstanding support to both clients and the legal team
About You
To succeed in this role you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- A warm, empathetic and professional manner
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
- Solid Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning legal practice management software (LEAP experience is highly desirable)
