Director/Senior Director, Organizational Development at Flagship Pioneering, Inc.

About the role Flagship Pioneering is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Organizational Development to influence the growth and evolution of the company. This position will report to the VP of Talent Development and will focus on enhancing talent, leadership, and organizational capabilities to support our mission-driven enterprise.

What you'll do

- Develop and refine Flagship's talent management framework, including performance evaluations, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Promote a culture of ongoing feedback and development through modern talent technologies and AI-driven solutions.
- Create career pathways and mobility programs that enhance employee growth and retention while strengthening organizational capabilities.
- Establish scalable frameworks for organizational development and change management, including tools and playbooks.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to guide change initiatives, enhance leadership capabilities, and boost organizational effectiveness.
- Formulate strategies for change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and communication to support successful transformations.
- Work with HR, Communications, and business leaders to deliver effective communications that align with organizational initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of impactful organizational development programs from strategy to implementation, utilizing data and analytics to assess success and drive improvements.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, priorities, budgets, and resources across multiple initiatives.

Requirements

- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or a related HR field.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing talent management programs and frameworks for career development.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise change management initiatives,



familiarity with methodologies like Prosci or Kotter is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple strategic initiatives within a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in modern talent management platforms such as Workday, Lattice, Culture Amp, or 15Five, and experience using people analytics for decision-making.
- Background in biotech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, venture capital, or similar innovation-focused environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities, with a talent for building trust across all organizational levels.
- A strategic, proactive leader who excels in ambiguous situations and enjoys developing new capabilities.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree or HR/change management certification is a plus.
- Must be able to work in the Cambridge, MA office four days a week.

The salary range for this position is $172,000 - $280,500.
