Diverse Culture Care is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated NDIS Support Workers to join our growing team across Melbourne.

This casual role offers flexible working arrangements and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability and mental health challenges.

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will work closely with participants to deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with their NDIS plans. You will empower participants to achieve their goals, develop independence, build confidence, and actively engage in their communities. As an NDIS Support Worker, you will work closely with participants to deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with their NDIS plans. The role involves travelling to participants's homes and community settings to provide support that promotes choice, control, dignity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will:

- Deliver person-centred supports in accordance with participants' NDIS goals and individual support plans.
- Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and other activities of daily living.
- Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and household duties.
- Support participants with transport to appointments, shopping, education, employment, and community activities.
- Encourage community participation, social engagement, and the development of meaningful relationships.




- Promote independence by supporting participants to build life skills and achieve greater self-confidence.
- Develop professional, respectful, and trusting relationships with participants, families, and carers.
- Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports, and participant documentation.
- Report any concerns or changes in participant wellbeing to the NDIS Coordinator or Team Leader.
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, infection control practices, and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Maintain participant privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and uphold their rights at all times.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification in Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Full Australian working rights.

- Physical capability to assist with personal care and manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when completing documentation.
- Respect for diversity, cultural differences, and participant choice.

Desirable

- Previous experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or community services.
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs.
- Additional language skills are highly regarded.
