Independent Life Disability Supports Pty Ltd (InLife) is expanding, and we are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Support Workers to join our growing team across South East Melbourne.

We support participants living with a wide range of disabilities and are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity and meaningful community participation.

Employment Types

Pay: SCHADS Award rates + casual loading, with penalty rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Minimum availability of 3 days per week is required.
Multiple positions are available — immediate start available for suitable candidates.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide individualised and personalised support to participants in their homes and communities. You will work collaboratively with participants, families and allied health professionals to help participants achieve their NDIS goals while maintaining choice, control and independence.

This role may include supporting participants with both daily living and community access, depending on individual needs.

Working in Family Homes

Many of our participants live at home with their families. In these placements, family members are actively involved in day-to-day support and will provide guidance,



feedback and direction on how support is delivered in their home. You must be genuinely comfortable working alongside families, open to feedback, and willing to adapt your approach to each household. Every home runs differently — a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. If you prefer to work fully independently without family involvement, these roles will not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver person-centred support in line with the participant's NDIS plan
- Assist with daily living activities, including domestic assistance
- Support participants to engage in community and social activities
- Encourage independence, skill development and decision-making
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold participant dignity
- Accurately document progress notes and complete required reporting
- Follow organisational policies, procedures and risk management plans
- Communicate effectively with families, coordinators and service providers
- Comply with the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development

To be considered, you must meet the following:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent




- Certificate III may be considered based on relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in domestic assistance
- Strong understanding of person-centred and rights-based support
- Ability to manage complex behaviours professionally and safely
- Willingness to learn and take direction, including from participants' families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient and adaptable approach to support work
- Physical capacity to meet the requirements of the role

Compliance Requirements (Must Be Current Prior to Commencement)

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Program
- Infection Prevention and Control training
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates

Additional Requirements

- Full and current Australian driver's licence
- Own vehicle
- Ability to travel between participant locations
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts
