We're looking for an experienced Lead Main Component Upgrade (MCU) Technician to Lead our MCU operations in Australia. In this site based role, you won't just be performing repairs, you'll be the primary technical authority and point of coordination on site, ensuring our heavy-lift and major exchange operations are executed with absolute precision, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring all site activities are executed to our ‘SQDC’ (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) priorities, acting as the bridge between Site Management, internal service teams, and external contractors to deliver best results

This is a unique opportunity to apply your trade skills to advanced turbine technology while working on a 3:1 roster across our wind farm sites on the East Coast of Australia.

What We’re Looking For?

A recognised Electrical Licence (with solid mechanical aptitude) or a Mechanical trade qualification (with electrical aptitude).

At least 3 years’ experience leading crane operations in end-to-end heavy-lift execution, and 3+ years within the wind maintenance, energy, or similar heavy industrial sectors. Particularly with major component exchange (MCE) and heavy-lift operations, is highly desirable.

Proficient in fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Deep familiarity with Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) components is essential.

A strong ability to lead and guide all parties on-site,



serving as the technical advisor and ensuring all personnel (including contractors) are qualified and compliant with rigorous EHS standards.

Capable of proactively identifying SQDC improvements, updating Work Instructions (WDIs), and effectively managing unexpected events.

Competency in MS Office and internal reporting software. A deep commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and site reporting.

Comfortable working at heights and performing physically demanding tasks in outdoor, remote environments.

Current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to work a 3-week on, 1-week off roster.

Must hold valid eligibility to work in Australia (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or NZ Citizen).

Highly regarded (but not required) qualifications include GWO/GWO ART, and active Dogging, Rigging, or Franna tickets.

If you hold a recognised electrical or mechanical qualification, we will support you with the specialist training required to perform with confidence in the field. You’ll be backed by structured onboarding and ongoing technical development.
