Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority – Melbourne VIC
The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is a specialist project delivery organisation, responsible for delivering Victoria's major transport, health and community safety infrastructure program.
This multi-disciplinary program includes more than 200 projects including the North East Link, removing level crossings, Melbourne Airport Rail Stage 1, new and upgraded hospitals specialist programs such as the early parenting centres expansion and upgrade program and community safety projects including Corrections and Emergency Services.
The unprecedented program of works brings together expert skillsets to deliver crucial health, community safety, and major transport projects, and ensures that operations are streamlined and effective while delivering better outcomes for Victorians. Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the five project offices, VIDA Road, VIDA Rail, VIDA Health VIDA Metro and VIDA Community Safety. VIDA is established as an Administration Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation.
About VIDA Health
VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. Our priority is to provide innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions that will ensure our health system meets the needs of all Victorians now and into the future.
The Opportunity
Over a 2-year program,
you'll have the opportunity to:

You’ll support the planning, delivery, and improvement of health infrastructure projects, working with industry experts across design, contracts, safety, and sustainability.
- Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from planning, development and scheduling through to delivery, while providing administrative and coordination support across a diverse portfolio of health infrastructure capital projects.
- Work alongside building contractors, architects, engineers, and industry experts.
- Build practical knowledge around effectively facilitating partnerships and managing contracts, resolving issues, and ensuring safety on site.
- Be exposed to activities such as design reviews, contract administration, project tracking and scheduling, reporting, and attending safety workshops.
- Contribute to and support design reform initiatives and related work programs.
- Support the adoption and implementation of innovative, best-practice approaches to building infrastructure sustainability.

Eligible degrees:
Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.

To be eligible, you must:
- Have completed a relevant bachelor's or master's degree between January 2024 and January 2027.
- Have full Australian working rights for the entire duration of the program (February 2027 to February 2029).
- If you have completed a master's degree, you must have commenced your master's within 12 months of completion of your bachelor's degree.
- Have an interest in working in the infrastructure projects as part of the Victorian Government.
Candidates applying must have working rights within Australia at the time of application as we are unable to offer work sponsorship. The successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which include national police/qualification (where applicable) checks and misconduct screening.
