Platinum All Care is seeking an experienced Accounts / Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Caroline Springs, VIC 3023, this role is essential to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organisation. As Accounts / Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the broader financial management of the business. This position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to our growing healthcare organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Recording and processing financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Preparing and maintaining financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including payment processing and debt follow-up
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements for management and stakeholders
- Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring proper categorisation of expenses
- Supporting payroll processing and ensuring compliance with superannuation requirements
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors as required
- Managing bookkeeping software and ensuring data entry accuracy
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a bookkeeping or small practice accounting environment
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, general ledger management and financial reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when processing multiple transactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Australian tax and superannuation compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity
- Certificate III or IV in Accounting or equivalent qualifications (preferred)
- Experience working in the healthcare or allied health sector (advantageous)
