Ship roles

Submariner roles
- Hospitality Specialist Nuclear Submariner Be the ‘heart of the submarine’ where you’ll maintain crew morale, working as an essential part of missions. You'll operate and manage Navy messes and dining facilities, providing hospitality and meal services to entire Navy bases and submarines.

Salary: Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $82,322 for surface fleet and $106,572 for submariners.

Period of Service requirements:

General Entry Sailor roles now have an Initial Minimum Period of Service (IMPS) between 2 and 3 years for all applicants.

- For these roles, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passes in Year 10 English and Maths.
