Network Administrator (Part-Time – 3 Days per Week)

SonicHR is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support a well-established enterprise client in a part-time role working three days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a network professional looking for flexibility while working within a modern enterprise IT environment.

About the Role

As the Network Administrator, you'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining the client's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure and high-performing connectivity across the business.

You'll work alongside an experienced IT team to administer, troubleshoot and optimise network services while contributing to ongoing operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support enterprise network infrastructure

- Configure and maintain firewalls, switches and routers

- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues

- Support VPN connectivity and remote access solutions

- Maintain network security and implement best practices

- Perform incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis

- Assist with network upgrades, maintenance and documentation

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors where required

About You





You'll have experience in enterprise networking and enjoy solving technical problems in a cooperative environment.

Ideally you will have

- Experience administering Palo Alto Firewalls

- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and VLANs

- Experience with LAN, WAN and wireless networking

- VPN configuration and support experience

- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools

- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable

- Relevant networking certifications (Palo Alto, Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent)

- Experience within medium to large enterprise environments

- Exposure to Microsoft infrastructure and cloud networking technologies
