Network Test & Assurance Engineer to validate, review, and assure network infrastructure changes across enterprise environments. The successful candidate will have strong networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with enterprise network technologies, ensuring configuration accuracy, connectivity validation, and high-quality technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate network configurations before and after implementation.
- Verify connectivity outcomes and ensure network changes meet design and operational requirements.
- Identify configuration errors, inconsistencies, and potential risks during network reviews.
- Perform network testing and assurance activities for enterprise infrastructure changes.
- Review firewall, load balancer, proxy, routing, and switching configurations.
- Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and improve deployment quality.
- Produce clear, evidence-based documentation and test reports.
- Support change validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Solid knowledge of enterprise
Firewalls
(Cisco ASA/Firepower, FortiGate,
or similar).
- Strong experience with
Load Balancers such as
F5 LTM/GTM
.
- Experience with
Proxy technologies including
Cisco IronPort and
Zscaler
.
- Strong networking fundamentals equivalent to
CCNA level, including:
- TCP/IP
- Routing & Switching
- VLANs
- NAT
- DNS
- DHCP
- Experience reviewing network configurations and validating connectivity outcomes.
- Ability to identify configuration errors and anomalies (root cause analysis is advantageous but not essential).
- Experience working in Cisco enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with
Cisco ACI from a configuration review or assurance perspective.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication with an evidence-driven approach to reporting.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
- Experience with enterprise change management and network validation processes.
- Exposure to network monitoring and testing tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes is beneficial.
