Doherty Couplers & Attachments designs and manufactures hydraulic excavator attachments — quick couplers, tilt couplers, and specialist hydraulic equipment used across the construction, civil, and resources industries in Australia and New Zealand. Our assembly operations are headquartered in Brisbane, with our NSW operations based at Smeaton Grange, south-west Sydney.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a practical, switched-on Warehouse, Parts & Logistics Coordinator to run our Smeaton Grange warehouse operation. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role — you'll own inwards goods receiving, parts and stock management, outbound dispatch, and the presentation of the facility.

We're not looking for someone to follow a task list. We need someone who notices what's going on, thinks ahead, spots mistakes before they become customer problems, and keeps the warehouse, parts flow, dispatch, and attachment preparation running properly.

This role sits at the heart of our NSW customer experience — when an attachment leaves this facility, it needs to be right.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Inwards Goods & Stock

- Receive, unload, and process all inbound deliveries — components, parts, sub-assemblies, hydraulic fittings, and consumables
- Check deliveries against purchase orders — quantity, part number, and condition — before accepting
- Receipt all inwards goods into the ERP/stock system accurately and promptly
- Quarantine and flag any damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming goods immediately
- Maintain accurate stock records and locations — no mystery stock, no unreceipted deliveries
- Conduct regular stock cycle counts and support stocktakes

Dispatch & Freight

- Coordinate all outbound dispatch of attachments and parts to customers across NSW and nationally




- Book and manage freight carriers — select the right transport for attachment size, weight, and destination
- Prepare all dispatch documentation — delivery dockets, freight labels, consignment notes
- Ensure attachments are correctly packed, protected, and secured for freight before leaving the facility
- Track outbound shipments and follow up on delays, damage claims, or delivery failures
- Never dispatch an attachment without QA sign-off confirmation

Attachment Preparation

- Assist with fitting brackets, hoses, fittings, teeth, couplers, decals, and other parts as required
- Prepare attachments for dispatch — clean, complete, checked, and ready for the customer
- Use basic hand tools confidently and safely — you don't need to be a qualified mechanic, but you need to be practical

Facility & Standards

- Maintain the warehouse, yard, and surrounds in a clean, protected, and organised condition
- Support 5S standards — a tidy facility is a productive and safe facility
- Report any facility maintenance issues promptly
- Help customers, sales staff, and service staff with parts and dispatch enquiries

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

- Experience in a warehouse, stores, or manufacturing receiving/dispatch role
- Accurate and systematic — counts correctly, checks part numbers, doesn't rush at the expense of accuracy
- Physically capable of manual handling, packing, and loading within safe limits
- Comfortable using computers — stock systems, email, and basic admin tools
- Reliable, punctual, and takes personal ownership of their responsibilities
- Practical and mechanically minded — at home around heavy equipment, fittings, and tools

Preferred

- Forklift licence (current) or willingness to obtain




- Experience in a construction equipment, attachments, or industrial machinery environment
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems
- Experience with freight coordination and carrier management
