Uconnex Community Services' is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in BENDIGO REGION. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community inclusion and enhance the wellbeing of clients
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, advocating for their needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans
- Uphold the principles of dignity, respect, and empowerment in all interactions with clients

What we're looking for

- A relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field
- Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, combined with a commitment to upholding the rights and autonomy of individuals with disabilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the diverse needs and schedules of clients
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
